About
Hi, I'm Sólveig
I grew up in Ísafjörður, where the sun disappears for two months each winter — so I learned early to notice light and to be grateful for it. I studied photography in Copenhagen, assisted fashion photographers in London, then came home in 2016 to photograph what I actually love: people, close up, in this landscape.
I shoot digital and a little medium-format film, work with a light touch and never rush. I speak Icelandic, English and Danish, and I know the back roads, the quiet beaches and which glacier guides will make you laugh.
